A skill is a written method for one kind of work: how to run a property due diligence, how you like a client email drafted, what a registry filing must include. When a task matches a skill, the agent reads the skill and follows it. You get consistent work without repeating yourself.
What the agent knows how to do — playbooks from Casa Conect, your organization, and you.

Matters

Built-in skills are rolled out and updated by Casa Conect. If you have copied one, your copy stays as you wrote it.

Use a skill

  • Let the agent choose. It searches the available skills and uses the one that fits.
  • Name it. Type / in the composer and pick a skill, or type its name: /review-draft.
Each skill in the menu shows where it comes from: Casa Conect, Organization or Personal.

Write a skill

The quickest way: “We always ask for the nota simple before drafting anything. Save that as a skill.”
The agent can also edit these skills and create new ones — just ask.
The agent also offers to do this when it notices you stating a standing preference or process, such as “we always…”. Skills for the whole organization need an organization admin. Otherwise the skill is saved as personal.

What a skill looks like

A skill is a Markdown file that opens in the Casa Conect editor. The header gives its name and a description, and may also carry a version, an author and tags. The agent uses the description to decide when the skill applies, so make it specific. The body is the method.

What makes a good skill

“Drafting emails” is vague. “Draft a client email in Spanish or English in our house style. Use for any outgoing client correspondence.” tells the agent exactly when it applies.
Say what to do first, and when to stop and ask. “If the cadastral reference is missing, ask. Do not search for it.” prevents confident guessing.
The model already knows what a purchase contract is. It does not know that your office always includes a particular clause, or never quotes fees by email. Write down what is particular to you.
One skill, one job. If a skill runs past a page or two, split it.

Skills and security

Skills add knowledge, never power. A skill cannot give the agent a tool it does not have or access it would not otherwise have. It can only change how the agent uses what it already has. That is why any member may write a personal skill. Even so, writing a skill changes how the agent behaves in future, so it is treated as a sensitive action under permission levels. It is never available to work started by email, so a message cannot rewrite your playbooks. Deleting a skill can only be done by a person, in Settings → Skills.
