# Shared Spaces

> A Shared Space is a secure room for one property transaction, where every party collects documents, agrees the facts and schedules the dates. It is free to use.

A property transaction involves buyers and sellers, their lawyers, an agent, a notary and often a bank. Each of them holds part of what the others need. A **Shared Space** puts all of it in one secure place: the documents each party must provide, the facts everyone must agree on, and the dates everyone must attend.

Shared Spaces are **free**, and they do not require Casa Conect OS. The people you invite need only an email address.

## What is inside

A space has five tabs. An admin can hide any that a transaction does not need. Hiding a tab preserves what is in it.

<CardGroup cols={2}>

    A checklist of the documents the deal requires. Each has an owner who provides it, people who may see it, and reviewers who approve it.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Summary" icon="table-properties" href="/shared-spaces/summary">
    The key facts of the transaction, filled in by people or extracted from the documents by AI, each with a citation to its source.
  </Card>

  </Card>

## Create a Shared Space

Choose **New Shared Space** from the home screen or from the Shared Spaces page.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="From a template">
    Choose **Select Template** and pick one from *Popular templates*. A template sets up the teams, document checklist and summary for a common kind of transaction. The space appears at once, marked *Preparing shared space*, and is ready shortly afterwards.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="From scratch">
    Choose **Create New**. Give the space a name, then *add teams to organize shared space participants*, for example **Buyers**, **Sellers** and **Legal**. Add members to each team with a role, and say which team you belong to.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

With Casa Conect OS, the [agent](/agent/overview) can set up a space from a template and file documents into the right slots. It always asks for your approval before it invites anyone outside your organization.

## Find your spaces

The **Shared Spaces** page lists every space you belong to. Your home screen shows **Recent Shared Spaces**, along with any invitations waiting for you, which you can **Accept** or **Decline**.

## Two languages, automatically

Transactions in Spain often involve people who do not share a language. Casa Conect is available in **English and Spanish**, and inside a Shared Space it goes further. The short texts people enter, such as the names and descriptions of teams, document types, categories and appointments, and review comments, are **translated automatically**, so everyone reads the space in their own language. A globe icon beside a field tells you that *Casa Conect will automatically translate this value*.

Documents themselves are not translated.

## Leaving and deleting

* A member can leave a space at any time. If you are the **only admin**, you choose a new admin first. If you are the **only editor** of a summary category, you hand that on first.
* *If you are the only member, leaving will delete this shared space permanently.*
* Deleting a space, or a section, category or document type within it, permanently deletes the documents stored there, along with their search index.
