# Your account and sign-in

> Manage your profile, language, two-factor authentication and active sessions. Change your email address, or delete your account.

Everything on this page is under **Settings**, at the bottom of the sidebar, and is yours to manage, whatever your role.

## Signing in

Casa Conect has no passwords. Enter your email address, and then the **one-time code** we send to it. If you have turned on two-factor authentication, you are also asked for a code from your authenticator app.

<Tip>
  Your Casa Conect account is as secure as your **email account**. Protect your mailbox with a strong password and multi-factor authentication, and add an authenticator app here as well.
</Tip>

## Profile and language

Under **Settings → Account**:

## Two-factor authentication

We recommend that everyone turns this on.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Security">
    **Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication → Authenticator app.** If you signed in more than 15 minutes ago you are asked to **sign in again** first.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scan the QR code">
    Use any authenticator app: Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy and others.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the 6-digit code">
    From then on, *a code from your authenticator app is required when you sign in*.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If you replace your phone, add the authenticator on the new phone **before** you wipe the old one. If you have lost access to your authenticator, [contact support](/get-started/get-help).

## Sessions

**Settings → Security → Sessions** lists the *devices currently signed in to your account*, with the browser, network address, sign-in method and dates. Your current session is marked **This device**.

Choose **Sign out** beside any session you do not recognize, or no longer need. It ends immediately. The Word add-in appears here too.

## Change your email address

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enter the new address">
    Under **Settings → Account**. You may be asked to sign in again first.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm it">
    *"We sent a code to … Enter it to confirm the change."* The change takes effect only when you enter the code from the **new** address, which proves that you control it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Why am I asked to sign in again?

Changing your email address, and adding or removing an authenticator, are the changes an intruder would make first. Casa Conect therefore requires that you **signed in within the last 15 minutes**. You see *"Confirm it's you"*, sign in, and come straight back to where you were.

## Delete your account

**Settings → Account → Delete account.** Type `DELETE` to confirm.

*This action cannot be undone. This will permanently delete your account and remove your data from our servers.*

Before you do this:

* Your **personal vault** and private conversations are deleted along with your account.
* Content you created **inside an organization** belongs to that organization and stays there.
* If you are the **only admin** of an organization, make someone else an admin first, or delete the organization.

See [Privacy](/security/privacy#deleting-data) for how deletion works.
